This Savage song by @veschwab is about a city split in half; and the two families who rule each section.
Wow. So let's get the bad out of the way! I found that the monster names were very confusing and it didn't really click until the end what was what. It was more the type of monsters and isn't explained properly at the beginning so i was left very confused. Some names were very similar too, but that didn't last as long thankfully! Because of this, I have given it 4 stars ✨
And now the good! I loved the dynamics between the two main characters! They have a really complicated history due to their families, but the bond that grows felt natural and didn't feel forced at all.
There were so many surprised throughout which was really good too!
The characters were well fleshed out and they go through one hell of a journey, and their growth is amazing. The ending was not the best. There were a lot of loose ends but I think they'll be explored in book 2!
I would recommend this book if you are a fan of Schwab or if you love monsters and fantasy!
