I saved Haunted specifically for Halloween because I knew there were ghosts - it was a great debut book to finish off Spooktober! Speaking of it being a debut, I really enjoyed it, and I think Rhymer did a great job! I would say it's more suited to younger readers and audience. However, having said that I do think if you are looking for a fun read then you would enjoy it.
Haunted is a light, short and fun read and perfect for Halloween! I liked the plotline relating to the Ghost population! There were a few twisty turns here and there which were executed well. I loved the characters too, they were definitely well thought out and planned. One of my favourite things is the world building; Rhymer manages to make you feel in the book with her descriptions. I loved Dough Hole - can I get some doughnuts filled with Jam please?
All in all, really great book, and the pacing was great too! I would recommend!
